The Good Earth Market, 3024 2nd Avenue North, Billings, welcomes Candace Forrette in the Apple Gallery, December 3 - January 29 with an exhibit called "An Equality of Being."  Social justice and an appreciation of the natural world informs her work. During this season of love and light, Forrette reminds us of the empty bowls. She says, "the work moves from the concrete to the abstract, from a simple ceramic bowl to circles, arcs, and to the illusionary depth of encaustic stardust.  A simple bowl of sustenance: we share this need with everyone, everyone's children.  From an everyday need to stardust; we are the same."

A South Dakota native, Forrette has been living in Montana since 1992.  She is the director of Global Village. Forrette works in a variety of media, both two and three dimensionally with a primary interest in observed imagery. A graduate of the Art Institute of Boston, she earned her BFA and MFA from Utah State University.

The ArtWalk reception for Candace Forrette is from 5 - 9 on December 3.  Come enjoy a festive evening with a Deli Special.

Upstairs at the Good Earth Market on December 3 beginning at 4 p.m. through December 4 until 4 p.m., an Arts and Crafts Fair featuring 12 local artists and Growth Thru Art artists will be held.  Jewelry, photographs, ceramics, cards, paintings, and sculptures will be on sale.
